Visiting Bernadette's School…

One of our AIC members runs a school in Kigali and since she had applied for a small grant from AIC…
the Charity Team went to visit Imena School.

Everyone in class.. almost.

The littlest ones…  Everyone wears a uniform.
Formal or informal!

Lilian and Anneka getting up close and personal.

An older class greeting us!

Joy---all over the place!

A gifted Library.. but I'm not sure they ever use these
sets of English texts…all anthologies.

The librarian with Junko.

Discussing how books are borrowed and used.

 Bathroom break!
French Class

Very clever washing sink outside of the bathrooms.

Social Studies…  Look at all the lakes and rivers just in Rwanda!

 Taking notes in this class.

Just a few in this class. Ha!

Yes, this is one classroom of children!

Pulling out of the gate we saw these guys--getting ready to ride!

A Common Sight in Rwanda….  More than one person on a bike!

No.. this isn't a tornado.. it is a rain funnel that we watched develop and move over the valley on the way home.

Bernadette is giving quite a gift to these
children and a great opportunity for learning.

Although the space is limited, she is doing
a TREMENDOUS job with the kids and
her staff.

We were all happy that we had this
opportunity to visit Imena School.

love,
margie
