A Weekend of Surprises in Omaha, Nebraska!!

Bruce's Mom knew that he was coming to visit but Lottie
was surprised when I showed up with him.
Actually, I flew in from Pittsburgh and Bruce from Kigali….
We met at the Omaha Airport and then Mark and Gram picked us up! It had been way too long since I'd been to Omaha so
I was thrilled to see Gram and Mark meet us at the airport.

The view from Gram's Apartment.
Spring is just starting to bloom!
But the next day we had our first great surprise.  Our little grand niece, Evelyn was going to be dedicated to the Lord on Sunday and a lot of the family was gathering for this special day!
Daddy, Josh with her here.

That's her picture on the screen and the special Bible verses
picked just for her.
The pastor and this sweet family,
Josh, Julia (our niece) and Evelyn!

A Happy Day!!

Prayer for this little baby girl and her family!
Strong, powerful prayer!

Clapping along with the song!
Which picture do you like the best?  This one…
or this one!
Peek-a-boo!!
And then another surprise… Steve Johnson and family now attend CityLight Church.
Steve and Bruce have been close friends since HIGH School!!
Great for both of them to have a reunion!
Back at Grams to open a Little Kitty for a Little Love!!

Then it was time to go downstairs at Gram's place to have a family lunch!    Avery was giving me a fun shot!

Evelyn happy with some lunch!

Avery, Emily, our niece and Ryker!!  We missed Daddy Chuck today!   Another Sweet Family!

But then another surprise!!!  We had the opportunity to meet the newest couple in town and in the family! We got to meet our nephew Stephen's fiancé, Hailey and have a fun lunch with them! Check out that ring!!
Welcome to the family, Girl!!  I love your laugh!!
Bruce flanked by his Sister Linda on the left and Bro-in-law, Jeffrey on the right.  Stephen's folks!
And on the right: Diane, Mark's wife and Gramma to Evelyn, Avery and Ryker.
Evelyn being gifted!

And then Gram and Mark joined the table.
Gram, I can't believe this is the only picture I have of you from this quick trip!
Why didn't I get pictures of you and your kids???
What was I thinking?  But here is 1/2 the crew enjoying a delicious meal.  Gram's place is perfect for parties.

What a great day celebrating the dedication of
Evelyn to the Lord.
I think she enjoyed every minute!
My favorite picture in Gram's apartment!
It would be BEST if there weren't so many reflections!

The next day we did a tour of Omaha and all the changes!
It has changed a lot since the first time I visited this city
39 years ago..  Yikes!!
BUT some things haven't changed… like the

Mutual of Omaha building
and the American Flag being proudly displayed
in the heartland of the US!

We also had a great tour of Gram's church.  Things are
happening there in  a mighty way!

Gram and families… Thanks for a great time with
you all… albeit too brief!  It was so wonderful to
spend time together and get reconnected!

 Love,
margie

PS…  We missed you Jill and Jonthan!
(Bruce's other sister and brother)
