A Visit from CMU Professors!

"The things that make God dear to us are not so much His great big blessings as the tiny things, because they show His amazing intimacy with us; He knows every detail of our individual lives!"  Another great quote from Oswald Chambers.
Psalm 25:14... The secret (friendship, RV,) of the Lord is with them that fear Him.

And this weekend with old and new friends that proved to be true. It
has been a great blessing to be with these folks.... Let me introduce them
to you.

Hedda, our first CMU/Rwanda professor arrived for a visit on Thurs.
She will move here in Aug.
To the right is Anita and Hyoung Kim.  Hyong will be
giving a talk on Mon. morning.  In the meantime, we are having fun.
His talk will be the first in the new classrooms.
Last week this room looked done... but the day of this shooting...
That was not the case.  Hope it is all down by Mon. when Hyong
will give his talk.

Spatial concepts seem a bit challenged.  This conference table seems
a bit too big for this little room, don't you think?
Bruce and Hyong "outside" his office on the small balcony.

Bruce's desk might be a tad to big for his office space as well....
now what?  Actually I like this big surface area... better to spread
out all his work in his office
than on the dining room table at home!

On Saturday I asked Hedda and Anita and Hyong if they would
like to join us for church.  They all said a hearty YES!

So, we all went to church

I taught the 4-6 Sunday School Class.
William was taking pictures and then after church,
and lunch at our house....
we took off south of Kigali to visit the Children's Home.

Here we all are.... Mama Arlene in purple, and to the far right- Oscar and
 Vincent, two of Mama's administrators.

 Everything is growing!

The harvested beans are drying!

These piglets are having their Sun. afternoon nap!

These are just growing and taking it all in!!!!

Even the cows are growing!
 Oscar... stirring up the soup.

 The Littlest Ones are Growing....

and Growing....and Growing!
And Claude is back home and happy!  Thank you for your prayers for him.
And these are all the little loves throwing us kisses as we were leaving... again. Didn't quite catch it on the camera...but it was really sweet.  These are the tiny blessings that are so huge in my life.  I asked David (3) if he had a 'best' friend of all the kids and he said
"No, they are ALL my best friends!"

Mama is here telling her story to our friends and totally blessing them.
She is quite a lady to be doing all this at age 81...
So, it was a whole day of blessings all the way around!

All these things and people in our lives are truly
Big ways that the Lord blesses us through others.....whether
they are young or old, new or old friends, highly educated or barely educated.

Each one "shows us His amazing intimacy with us; He knows every detail of our individual lives!"  He is indeed our best friend... to know us inside and out
and to give us just want we need when we need it!

WHAT A FRIEND WE HAVE IN JESUS!

love,
margie
