Iris and Gramma with the Animals and the Turkeys!!

The end of summer flowers are so beautiful and Iris fits
right in with their beautiful colors!   We decided to visit the zoo
on one of the days that Iris doesn't go to school.. We got
to spend the day together and since she loves the zoo and so do I--off we went.

The baby rhino finally stood up so we could see him.

And this little elephant was pacing back and forth.

These Cheetahs are brand new to the zoo and they put on quite a show for us!  They are spectacular!

Every time a baby stroller went by this one would hiss and try to catch it while running along the fence.

The octopus also put on a show for us…
Iris was fascinated and so was I.

Very speedy and flying around in the water!

Cheese!  Time to head home!

But later that day….in the backyard we had a bit
of a zoo of our own-- well maybe an Aviary!

Can you see it?  Pretty cool camo.

Wait-- there are more!
They seem to like our new "shed" area.

"L.J.P. Vieillot first described and named the eastern subspecies in 1817 using the word silvestris, meaning “forest” turkey."  Guess that's why they are in our backyard forest!

God has created some wonderful animals
and birds no matter where they live---
in the zoo or in the wild or
whether they are in Pennsylvania
or in Africa!  Thanks, Lord!

love,
margie
