Janurary Parties and Partings!

Toward the end of my time in Pittsburgh.
Barney is beginning to realize that
I'm getting ready to leave again.

Dinner at our house for 4 of the CMUR Students in
Pittsburgh this semester.

Merab, Esther, from Rwanda (Clarence, one of B's grad students that JUST finished May 2,14)   Congratulations, Clarence!
Around the table… Andrew, Isaac.. (one of our grandsons) and Shema.  They couldn't have been here any winter that would have been colder.  They now know the real use of winter coats!

Rob and Michelle's families came to join us a little later for dessert…and the kids had a band for our entertainment. Great time of talking, sharing stories, cultures and friendships!

It got a little loud!

That weekend i went to visit Heather and family and just happened to catch this serious discussion…  Love this picture.
Good thing the old man is praying!

Oh.. while I was there, this happened…. so I stayed a little longer.

We shoveled and shoveled!  And it was SO cold!

Church on Sunday the kids' choir sang….  but none "with as much gusto" as Brian.  He really loves to sing.  Had to leave church early to get back for a special lunch with the Children's Ministry
Team from Hebron.  I served with them for a few years but felt
I needed to step aside to let Ellen make it her own ministry… but will always love the years i was given with these great servants for the Lord!  Hopefully, I'll be back in a volunteer status at some point.

But in the meantime.. Cathy, Ellen and Diane
were at the luncheon that they had for me so
we could all to be together!

Chris, Sean, Dolly, Jim, Amy, Steph, and Jerry… at his new house.  Thanks again Steph, Amy, Ellen and Jerry for a fun time with you all.
Group shot.
Opening a beautiful Vera Bradley bag from the CE committee.
I think I should have left earlier… if only I had known.  Ha!
Thanks for the perfect gift for traveling!

Ellen, my replacement..  Great friend and I'm so excited that
she is carrying the torch for the kids and the Lord at Hebron!
Couldn't have found someone better!!
You are in my prayers, Miss Ellen!

After that party, it was time for the best part
of the day!   Oscar's 4th birthday party…Here he is with his
other grampa, Pap Pap, Mike!

Ready to open presents?  YES!

All the boys are ready for the action!
Mommy and Nana close at hand.

 Oscar enjoying his day!

More fun things to play with.

Dinosaur mat set up and Oscar and Iris get
the dinos into action.

Happy birthday to you, Oscar… Blow them all out!

Yes… it's a baseball mound… Nice work, Rob!
Love the people in the stands!

To top off this day.. or night..
the kids went out to play in the snow.

in the dark, no less!

This picture of Iris is typical of everyone in Pa this winter….
All bundled up and trying to keep warm.

But… with all the warmth from friends, family,
dinner parties,
parting parties
and birthday parties
we were all toasty!

love,
margie
