On to Urukundo!

This morning we met to travel to Gitarama or Muhunga....
the newer name for the city where
Urukundo Children's Home is located.

Claude in yellow... took to Liora right away!
She melted under all the love!

 Daphne's camera was a hit!

Maggie took us on the tour of the schools new P-1 building...

And to see the beginning of the P-2 building... wow!

Then to class to drop in on the children.
Always ready to greet us and always well behaved...
 (even before we walked in)

If you're happy and you know it...
What the first graders are working on...
Waiting for Moms and Dads to come pick up their kids.

And yes, some of the kids go home on this!!!
The Rwandan Moto!

Then we headed for the nursery to see all the little ones...

This littlest one is Jacob and Innocent fell in love with him immediately and I
 think Jacob felt the same.

Liora got a love, too!  Jacob is a very sweet baby.

Oscar and Rebecca ( i think )

Another round of piglets... These were being weaned...
WHAT a ruckus.  They were squealing like crazy.
Daphne "shooting" the cow!

Maggie in the country!

Mama  and
baby!

Going down to see the chicks and the bunnies!

New buddies!

Ben really liked all the bunnies!
Mama hadn't gotten back from America yet.. so after our tour
and loving the kids for awhile we headed back to Kigali.

During our time with Oscar as our driver he had been telling us about some kids that he has been trying to help through his church.  And that evening he asked us to come meet them all.

It was getting dark fast because we had some trouble
finding the place.

But the kids didn't care.
They sang great songs about the Lion of Judah and
danced their little feet off.
The kids were so dear and Oscar asked us to
speak to them, too.

These are dear children with little in life to look forward to
but they were full of joy and they love the Lord!

Oscar closed our time together and we were able to tell
the children each good bye and give them hugs.

They followed us to the car and waved and blew
kisses to us as we were driving away.

From beginning to end... this day blessed us all
through children.  Kids in America have so much
and sometimes they appreciate it and sometimes, not..
but no matter... the most important thing was obvious
in the hearts and minds of these little ones....

They not only have the love of the Lord...
but they love him back, too!

It had been another great day!

Don't forget the Lord loves YOU...

Are you loving Him back?

He has given us everything we have and has
created us to be everything we are and can be!

love,
margie
