Celebrating Christmas with our Rwandan Kids!

   Saturday is often ABC day….
African Bagel Company so we took the crew there for breakfast.

Waiting for breakfast

Michelle talking to owner, Jenny!
Adam and Bruce are deep in conversation.
Isaac was waiting for the next thing….

A kid's Christmas party at church…the
snack table in the movie room.

Some of the cast ready to act out the Christmas story!

But GAMES were first and Isaac just jumped right in!

He had a great morning with games, crafts,
the Bible story and movie!  Kofi, Cynthia and Patrick had all been there helping.. so afterward we had our Christmas with them.

The first matter of the afternoon was decorating Christmas cookies.   The Rwandan kids had never done that so it was a fun and creative time.
Iris "took it all in"… most of it in icing!

Everyone did a lot of cookies.  I had made them in Nov. before
I went home and put them in the freezer….and wasn't sure they'd be good.. but they turned out fine.
HAPPY PICTURE!!  #1!!!

HAPPY PICTURE #2!!

FINALLY TIME FOR PRESENTS!

Clarence… taking it all in.

A restful moment as Iris tells grampa a bedtime story.

Iris telling more stories about all her friends,
 dolls and giraffes!

It was a fun day with all the kids at church
and at home!

Fun to relax a bit with the kids here
and just enjoy each other.  It was a fun
Christmas with our Rwandan big kids
and our little ones!

margie
