Leaving the Park to Head Back to Joburg & Rwanda.

THE DREADED MORNING CAME!

It was time to leave Kruger and Lukimbi and
worst of all Bob and Elvira.

How do you describe this kind of memory except to
say that we are so glad we were able to share it
with our long-time friends!
We thought the sights were over.. but as we were leaving
we had yet more joy to carry with us... even in the midst of
our sadness of leaving!

"JUST WANTED TO SAY GOODBYE.
COME BACK AGAIN!"

"WELL, IF YOU'RE LEAVING--WE'RE LEAVING!"

 "CHEW ON THAT, WILL YA?"

"YES, THIS IS THE END."

"WE'LL BE WATCHING FOR YOUR RETURN."

"NOT US,  WE'RE NOT SAYING GOODBYE."

"BUTT, REALLY,  WE JUST CAN'T BARE IT"
"OH YEAH... THERE THEY GO AGAIN."

"WHY CAN'T YOU JUST STAY?"

"I TRIED, SWEETHEART,
BUT THEY JUST KEPT GOING."
"YES, I GOT THE MESSAGE THAT YOU ARE LEAVING--
I CAN'T EVEN FACE YOU ...."
In fact.... this is what i think about it!

"Don't look at us to stop you...  We are too comfy."

If two are 'be-four'  us... who can be against us?
Yes, the other 2!

"HA!   I can!  Why are you leaving before my lunch?"

"We TOLD you ---We are not going to stop you!"

Oh.... but these folks are!
Anything for money!
We never heard the "boom". ^^
And just like that, we were out of Kruger National Park and into the Orange Groves!
Acres and acres of them as we drove back to Joburg.

Some of the roads weren't on the GPS!
More developing groves!

Don't see this sign often in the States!

Or this one!

And why do we spend so much money on barriers????
JUST USE WHAT YOU HAVE ON HAND!

Gotta love practicality.

We finally reached Walter's house once again and this
great sculpture was still hanging on his carport.

And this beautiful wood carving of the
BIG 5 (plus) hung in his house.

We had a great evening with Walter and his friend
visiting from England.  His home was the perfect place to begin and end our trip.   Bob and Elivra had to catch a flight
today... but we weren't leaving until the morning so we enjoyed Walter, his house, his dogs and friend for one more evening.

And then the morning came and it was time to head to the airport.  The following things were displayed there....

Beautiful quilts with African fabrics and icons.
AND I LOVED THIS!!!!! THIS WAS CARVED IN STONE....
 GOES RIGHT ALONG WITH THE
"WITH ME" PRINCIPLE!

JUST FLYING ABOVE THE AIRPORT... ON OUR WAY BACK TO RWANDA...
WE HAD A GREAT TRIP... BUT RWANDA BECKONS US...

THERE'S JUST SOMETHING ABOUT
RWANDA THAT WE LOVE.....

We have seen a bit of South Africa... my
first time out of Rwanda to another country
and it was fun to visit.. but there's no place like
our 2nd home---- Rwanda.

But not to worry family and friends....

Pittsburgh is still our 1st home!

love,
margie
