Is that title sacrilegious?
It isn't meant to be... but it was just the sequence of events that happened when I was home. So... a little glimpse from both days! The Gala Banquet was inbetween so i guess it should have been called the Baseball Game, the Banquet and the Baptism...
First, we went to see the WINNING Pittsburgh Pirate team and Rob had gotten us great seats... just down the first base line. Wyatt and Isaac and I went down early and waited for everyone else to arrive.
Love that tongue, WY!! We had a good time talking in the car and walking to the stadium. A lot of deep conversations take place driving places. |
This is one entry point of the stadium. |
Oscar finally got there with Henry and Rob, Michelle and Nana, Lois Ann. |
Henry was ready for action! |
Michelle, Adam, Isaac and Iris arrived a little later. |
Ready to catch any ball that came their way! |
The first 1/2 of the game was very exciting... but then.... |
the most exciting thing turned out to be the food! |
Colin and Brian rounded out the family seating!
The winning Pirates couldn't turn the game around
but we all had fun anyway and we saw a lot of great baseball.( and a lot of tongues, too!!) |
"I don't get it! So how are Baseball and Baptism alike?"
I can't think of anyway at all...except they both start with a "B".
The baseball game was on Thursday---the musical was
on both Friday & Saturday and the PHAME Banquet was Sat, too.
That took us to Sunday... the day
Katherine Hope Ashe was baptized at
City Reformed Church in Oakland, Pa.
And here she is now... little 6 month old Katherine. Our littlest doll!!!! |
Before church began I took this family picture.... but who is missing? We will have to photo shop Brian in later! |
Oh, there he is! Katherine was being baptized along with another family who joined the church! |
Prayer time for the parents and children. |
Then it was time for her baptism. |
"Hallelujah"!!! No, she isn't singing here... With Katherine seeing everyone's heads bowed, she must have thought it was time for a nap! |
After church, Grampy and Katherine!
I'm so happy that I was able to be in Pittsburgh for this special day!
My youngest little granddaughter is a doll and it was so
great to be able to cuddle with her and give her back to her Mom
when she cried too much... that was my favorite thing. She would cry
until she was in Mommy's arms and then immediately quit. It was too funny!
Right now she is Mommy's girl.. but whenever Mommy wasn't too close
we had a lot of fun hugs, smiles and cuddles! I hadn't seen her since she was
2 weeks old so it was so great to be with her and see her personality
shining through.
It was a big week and weekend and it just left me realizing
how incredibly blessed we are to have such a fun loving,
Lord loving, and each other loving family.
Thank you, Lord!
love,
margie
