CMU/Pittsburgh VISITS CMU/Rwanda

So, the CMU students that came from the States to work
at Mama Arlene's came to Kigali for one day on their way back to the States.
They left last Saturday... but before they did... they were able to spend
some time touring CMU/R and kLab...

Bruce talking with them about life here on this CMU campus.
Sitting in one of the classrooms.
After a short tour it was....
 time for pizza and pop..
(Fanta or Coka as they call it here)
The pizza didn't last long but the conversation did.
There was much exchange between the students from both schools.
Bob meeting a couple of the Rwandan students!
 Fun talks and good food.
Even after all their work they are still smiling!

And some intense conversation, too!
Checking email after having not done so since they left.
What would be a college visit without a Foosball game....
 Or two??
Friends from college reunited.
One student who will be applying on the left and
a current CMU/R student.
This has been the view from B's office.... Quite pretty looking over the lake.

Then they started building this....
And at this stage.... it looks like this!
And even with a zoom shot.... there is little left of the lake to see!
So sad for Bruce... since I'm sure he spends most of his days gazing out the window.
At least the hills are all still there!!!
Kids from all over the world meeting one another.
Bob telling us about his daughter and other folks.
And looking out the window.... we found the Rwanda TV van
and the white CMU travel bus..

After their visit they made their way onto the bus and I joined them.
We traveled downtown to take a look--- do some shopping
and buy some coffee to take back from the grocery.

Then Last but not Least... we took the gang to Mesa Fresh...
a relatively new"burrito" place.  They were having a birthday party upstairs and
so we had to cram into the downstairs.. but the kids didn't mind since the
food was so good!

We actually left before they took off for the airport.
We said our goodbyes and trusted they would get back

safely!

I know they were a real blessing to Urukundo...
I'll show you later the work they
got done.

In the meantime.... thank you, kids for coming and
we trust that Rwanda will stay in yur hearts and minds a long time.

love,
margie
