Chris and Carrie were lucky enough to attend an AIC outing during their visit… to this special school near Lake Muhazi. Before we met the kids we encountered this kitchen… made out of the back of a pick up truck.. CLEVER!
Off to meet the students! |
They were singing and clapping…. |
And drumming! |
Drumming on the drums that AIC purchased for them. |
Checking out the sewing costumes… |
! |
and a picture with a of couple the seamstresses! |
The musicians led us all morning! |
Now on to the next area of learning…. |
The large sewing class! |
And then on to design! |
Ok… they were bored waiting for us and started doing back flips! |
Learning how to line up and lay
the bricks correctly! How can they sit like
that so long??
ENGLISH CLASS! |
We spoke together in an English dialogue! |
Snap, Snap, Snap!!! I have the answer! |
Baking was also on the learning list! |
These were delicious.. We had them for lunch!! |
THEN the whole school welcomed us with a great dance performance with audience participation! |
It went on and on! |
These bells on his ankles made beautiful music! |
They came bringing gifts! |
After the show!! |
The library…. |
and the fouls!
What a morning it had been and what a great place. Jean Bosco has built many places and this one is wonderful!
We were greeted and treated like royalty!
Wish more kids in Rwanda could benefit from an education like this! So glad we were able to visit.
love, margie |
