They finally arrived… Isaac ran so fast to Grampa that his picture was a blur!! But Iris was a little more cautious. |
We were so excited to welcome them to Kigali and they looked pretty good for a 26 hour flight!! We talked for a bit when we got home and then crashed... but got up the next morning to.. |
The sun and sunflowers greeting us in the yard! |
And all the other flower beds!! Hard to believe it is Christmas time. |
Innocent bought these great little toy bike riders for the kids to play with when they come.. |
They roll alllll the way around the house on the outside!! Great toys.. but just a bit fragile… The kids loved them. Thanks, Innocent. |
Up for breakfast and eating outside! |
Iris trying out one of our little chairs that Mimi gave me. |
Mickey and |
After that it was off to see CMU/Rwanda… First stop B's office…checking out the view. |
Looking in!! |
The kids discovered the Foosball table in the rec room for the students. Still hard to believe they are really here! |
Daddy and Iris playing wheelbarrow. |
Susan and Lilian were fast at work… so we didn't talk to them too long. |
Up in K-Lab ----the top story of telecom house… |
Then Bruce showed us where the new floor is and some of the work that is still being done. |
One of the new offices. By this time we were thirsty so we headed for Umubano Hotel to get some drinks. |
These birds are the hotels signature… |
The kids loved following them all over. |
and then sitting down to watch them. |
They made their way to the tennis court. |
What a pose! |
Some cows along the way, too ...with a great view across this valley. |
On our way down the trail to find their house… |
Boy comes running to Bruce while all the village kids look on. |
Love this pic … just can't quite see Igor behind Isaac! |
Bruce, Igor, Boy and Innocent |
The kids checking out Innocent's phone! |
Isaac and Iris loved watching this little guy spin his wheel... |
He took it for quite a long run without losing control of it. |
Our little "boy".. His real name is Boy! |
Boy and Igor's mom was away but the nanny was there. |
We had a fun time with the kids…
and then when it was time to leave they walked us almost
all the way back to the car…
We had walked quite a ways to get to Boy's house
so we had quite an entourage following us back up the hill.
Children are one of my greatest joys about living here
in Rwanda… and we were so happy that
some of our family were able to connect with
our little ones here. I hope the rest of our
family can meet them all when they come to visit, too.
Relationships, family and love--
Just what the Lord designed--
by sending His son to all of us…..
by sending His son to all of us…..
Christmas!
love,
margie
