This is one of those days! Been trying to hurry to get many projects done... and since
I'm so far behind, this is even more frustrating... BUT the pictures of Sea World
all loaded in a bizarre fashion. Nothing loaded in the order as the day actually happened.
Oh, well!
Since I don't have time to change them, I hope you can just "swim" through with me!
Or.... walk like a flamingo! |
They just marched in like they owned the place and kept on going. |
Waiting for the show to start. The kids were
so well behaved.. even when they were hot and tired.
And I don't know how Rob and Michelle ever stayed awake after
missing a night's sleep! |
Now this is the face of joy, isn't it! Love our Henry! |
OK... I think the above picture we were waiting for the whale show.. but here... swimming with the dolphins! |
This big guy just flew up out of the water and slid onto the stage... By the way... his mouth is to the left....by the trainers. You can hardly tell the difference if you look quickly. He looks like a pencil with two points. |
Here is the trainer riding on 2 dolphins at the same time.. |
After the trainer had ridden them around the pool up they went and her, too! |
Something like a space needle ride. |
This is the very end of the day... We were headin' home to rest. |
They look pretty good for the end of the day, huh? |
Getting comfortable! |
This HUGE walrus was just hanging upside down by the window... |
for a LONG time! |
Polar bears, too... having lunch. |
Wyatt and Elizabeth and I rode up the space needle. We didn't ride this coaster... |
The whale show stadium and the little tank in front is actually huge. It houses a GREAT Big Male Orka whale.. He doesn't do the shows anymore.. Maybe he never did--
not sure BUT he was massive. |
Didn't do this one, either. |
The long walkway across the lake. |
A portion of the big Orka in the tank. |
Wyatt and Elizabeth reading the map.. looking at all the places we had seen.. This was almost our last stop. |
From the bottom up.. |
Close-ups of the Big Daddy-0! |
This is the one that nailed us or drowned us with water. But we asked for --since we were sitting in the splash zone. |
The other side of the pool getting soaked! |
On the screen.. but they were kissing.. Momma and baby in the center of the pool. |
See her hands up... That means splash and see the whale tail? I cannot even describe to you just HOW much water that tail literally threw at us. Quite a surprise! Barely got my camera covered before the tsunami hit, really! |
Magnificent! |
and then... up on the platform... right between the seats... WOW ! |
Then both of them sliding up on the stage. It seemed they enjoyed the show, too! |
Ta-da! |
Saying goodbye. |
with a lot of water! |
These guys love belly flops! |
Here comes the flood! |
Yes... that's both of them flying right ahead of us. Awesome! |
Straight up out of the water! |
Before the show started... all of us so dry and hot. HA!
That didn't last long! |
Picture time with the flowers! |
and the little buds! |
The Three Amigos and Minnie!
Now, just the boys. |
Love this one!! |
I like the way your outfit matches the flowers, E!! |
Guess this is where the flamingos came from. |
So peaceful. |
Now Henry is checking out the map! |
Rob and Michelle taking a break... Cute couple!!! Nice picture of the two of you, by the way. By the looks of the shades... you must be related to the Three Amigos! |
This is one of my favorite moments of the day. Oscar "reading" the map at age 3 and telling us (and he was right) that we had misssed the crocodiles and he wanted to go see them.. |
Back at the SEA lion show... This guy had lots of personality! The one on the right, I mean. |
He could really bark! |
Time to feed the sting rays! I sure hope their stingers have been removed. They ate right out of Wyatt and Robs' fingers. YUCK! |
There they go! |
A huge sea turtle.... |
Here's lookin' at you kid! |
And a massive Manatee. |
Looking right at us! |
I love the way the kids all engage with whoever is talking to them.. |
Looking from underneath the tank. |
The make the kids look very tiny. |
Back at the dolpin show.. ha! Lot of flips and flops! |
Are they really flying out over the tank? No, they landed inside! |
Out for a stroll.... |
Missed them on the way up... but got 'em on the way down. |
Ride 'em cowboy..... |
... and cowgirl!! |
There were also some aerial flyers.. Real birds.... with wings... |
and fake ones with wires. |
And the real high fliers.... with no wires or wings! What a terrific show!
These creatures aren't like the ones in the wild in Africa but these are trained and God must have given them incredible brains to learn all the tricks they perform!! We all so enjoyed the shows.. saw a pet show, too, with cats and dogs and pet pigs that was quite cute and very fast.
What I realized in the last few days.. after being at Disney and Sea World is that God has given gifts to ALL of His creatures... Creative minds to even imagine, let alone the abilities to design a place like WDW! And flexible bodies to soar in the air and in the water and the talent of doing tricks and routines, wow!
So.. just wondering today... are we using the gifts-- talents and abilities that God has given each of us to use for His glory?
While this was a time to be with family and vacation a bit before the wedding it also gave me pause about why we are here on this earth and what God intends for us to do for Him here.
So, if you've ever been to Disney or Sea World or similar places let me know if you've ever had thoughts like these during or after your visit.
In the meantime... I pray that the Lord will continue to help us "SEE our WORLD!!"
love, margie
