We headed for the cheese farm... just down the road from Uschi and Reiner's and look what we found.  John Deere is apparently big in Germany, too!
The weather however looked a bit ominous but beautiful against the green foder growing. |
|  Fall or what?   |

After our 45 min. drive to Hamburg...
we found the cutest thing waiting for us....JULIUS!!
| He seemed to like us, too!  |
Especially when he saw his oma and opa!! ( gramma and grandpa) |
| Kirsten, Mommy and Baby!   What a great mommy!  |
Ok.. so Julius has an extra gramma from America.. where they play baseball!  So cute in his baseball cap!!  |
|  Oma in all of her glory. |
|  And Julius loving all the attention! |
Then suddenly there appeared a birthday cake.... Absolutely delicious.   |
We especially liked the blue icing.... It stayed with us. Thanks for a very sweet cake and look at that adorable baby! |
Opa helping Julius get to sleep.
| Looks like the counting sheep thing works! |
Then we were off to the mall!  A mall.. a big mall.. Hadn't seen one of these lately. |
Even Bath and Body! Uschi enjoying the fragances. |
For dinner we came back to a restaurant with great schnitzel.
This menu however was in a most unusual place. Before we ate i had to go to the bathroom so i went into the stall and low and behold... Reading material on the door right ahead of me.  Ha!!! Simply couldn't resist the picture.  |
Back in Dersau, Molly was settled in
and wondering why we were gone so long.  |
Again.... their sweet little house. From this direction looks like a storybook cottage! It is now the next day and we are ready to go on an adventure on Lake Pöln!  |
| A REAL postbox on the gate! |
| Ready to walk with little Julius to the boat.  |
|  The dairy farm next door..  No more horses but cows galore!  |
| Still blooming even in the fall!  |
| On the way to the lake... a camper/ RV park. |
| Then we arrived at the lake. |
| Strolling along.... |
|  Hangin' out! |
| Sven showing me which one was his boat. |
| Then the boat showed up and off we went!  |
The sun, the waves of the water and the German flag and... |
| my dearest friends! |
| Uschi reflecting on how good this move was for them.  |
| The only sailboat on the lake! |
|  Checkin' on babycakes! |
| Just great fun to watch Julius... |
| because he reponds like this!!!   |
|  So serene! |
| And then Pöln appeared! |
| This was the church we saw yesterday downtown.   |
|  And this Schlöss is quite a backdrop. |
| Just totally enjoying the great trip and the sun was perfect.  |
Half way around the lake we docked
and took off for a walk...  |
| Our one little sail boat still providing great pictures!  |
| Yes, Graffiti still reigns in Deutschland! |
The market in Germany is a little different that the markets in Rwanda. |
| The church on the inside! |
|  The Front! |
After our brief tour, we headed to the little Turkish restaurant to have a delicious Dönner! |
On our way back to the boat,
the rain started moving in!  |
|  At the dock, waiting for the boat... |
| enjoying the weather made for ducks.  |
We got on the boat as it was starting to raina little harder.... and discovered these swans turning tail to the weather, too!  |
But Julius enjoyed the whole trip!    It was a great boat ride and walk in Pöln, too! |
| Got back to Uschi and Reiner's just in time for coffee trinken |
| and a little snooze for Julius! |
| Just love this porch!!!!  This is one half ... |
| and this the whole.  So cozy!! |
This is looking from the porch into the dining room and living room...and the cat's tree house!  |
Julius woke up and here he is was Daddy Sven..... in matching outfits!!!
What a terrific couple of days and what joy it is to be with such dear friends that are really family!
